Cleaning Business

I started this business in hope to gain local reputation, learn how to create and ABN, and build entrepreneurial skills. I use this as a side job to help local businesses, have their space feeling fresh for last minute entertainment, hosting or turnover cleaning for Air Bnb’s. The skills I have gained from this experience have become very useful when having conversations with other older business proffessionals I network with.

I achieved this certificate during my time with IGA, applying the skills gained directly in my day-to-day work.

The program strengthened my communication and digital literacy in a real retail environment, while also broadening my understanding of Work Health and Safety procedures.

This deepened my awareness of the wider responsibilities involved in running a business, giving me a strong foundation for my continued professional growth.

Began working at this local cafe at 12 years old. This role gave me my first taste of work ethic. I developed an understanding of how to create my own rhythm within a role to perform efficiently and effectively in fast-paced environments. I learnt problem-solving skills and had my first professional interactions with customers, which pushed me out of my comfort zone.
